  5.              Patches and Enhancements to NetWare 286 v2.15 rev. C
  6.  
  7. Several patches and enhancements have been released for NetWare 286 v2.15
  8. rev. C.  The following list identifies and describes the patch or program,
  9. and provides, in parentheses, the filename on NetWire to download.
  10.  
  11. Invalid VIT Errors. Version 4.00 of NINSTALL corrects a problem when
  12.       defining more than 31,000 directory entries on a large volume
  13.       resulting in corrupt or invalid Volume Information Table errors.

  16. Large Drives. Newer versions of LOADER.DAT and INSTOVL.OBJ allow NetWare
  17.       286 v2.15 rev. C to address hard drives larger than 1024 cylinders. 
  18.       They also address the system message "Warning! Bad Block Table Not
  19.       Accessed."  (LOADER.ZIP)

  21. Mirroring with Optical Drives. This patch allows a removable read/write
  22.       drive to be added to an SFT NetWare v2.15 rev. C system with existing
  23.       mirrored or duplexed drives.   (MIRREM.ZIP)

  25. Security Anomaly. A very rare security shortcoming has been identified by
  26.       Novell.  It has been fixed with this patch.  For most Novell customers
  27.       who have intruder detection set on, this security weakness will not
  28.       pose a problem.  Novell recommends that all customers turn intruder
  29.       detection on.  If the customer has greater concerns for security, this
  30.       corrective patch should be applied.  This patch is for implementation
  31.       on NetWare 286 v2.15 rev. C. (SEC286.ZIP)

  33. SPX Connections on Non-dedicated Workstations. This program will allow for
  34.       more than 15 SPX connections on an Advanced NetWare 286 v2.15 rev. C
  35.       non-dedicated server or bridge workstation.  For other workstations,
  36.       this function is configurable through SHELL.CFG.  (NDSPX.ZIP)

  38. VAP and Volume Errors. This patch corrects a problem appearing in Advanced
  39.       and SFT NetWare v2.15 rev. C servers when VAPs are loaded.  Symptoms
  40.       of this problem have been General Protection Interrupts or Stack
  41.       Overflow Errors while a VAP is loading, or corruption in volume names
  42.       on multi-volume systems.  (VAPVOL.ZIP)
